Frequently Asked Questions and The Answers
Why Professional
Photography?
Your wedding photography is much more than just a record of your day, it's a work-of-art.
That's why you should have a professional behind the camera. The flowers - although
beautiful - will wither in days, the cake will be sliced and given away to your guests,
and the gown will be stored away. Your wedding photography, however, will last a lifetime.
Featuring state-of-the-art digital equipment, I capture the sights and emotions of your
wedding. I understand that you've worked hard to make your wedding exactly the way you
want it to be, that's why I take the time to ensure that your photography is an accurate
reflection of your day.
Do I have to meet with you at your location?
Of course not. I try to visit with my customers at their home, where they feel most
comfortable. Important decisions such as wedding photography should not be rushed or made
under pressure in an unfamiliar location. Should you wish to meet at my location, I have a
special promotion in effect. You are the "Customer", I am the
"Service".
Do you have a
written Contract/Agreement?
Yes. It is complete and offers you a satisfaction guarantee.
Do you offer price protection?
Yes. A nominal retainer and signed agreement is required to reserve your date and details.
Will you travel?
Yes. I will, with reasonable notice, travel to most destinations.
Do you have references?
Yes. I also have thank you letters and a variety of comments that you might enjoy reading.
Do you ever book 2
weddings, or a wedding and another shoot, the same day?
NEVER! Even on occasions when I have a second photographer on-site, I
will not compromise your photography by trying to jam in a second photo shoot the same day
as your wedding. Nor will I pass off the responsibility of my photography to a second
photographer.
What about the quality of your Photography?
I am prepared during our meeting to show actual samples, discuss the technical
capabilities of my cameras, and explain the differences in types of capture that are
currently offered in the wedding industry. Digital photography enables me to realize
images with great dramatic and pictorial impact. This is the best time to decide if what I
offer will meet your requirements.
How do you differentiate yourself
from competitors?
Two words: customer service. I want to develop a competitive advantage in the marketplace
and I'm going above and beyond. I don't just meet -- I exceed -- customer expectations.
How much should I
pay for my wedding photography?
There is no right or wrong answer to this question. The Brides who typically are the
unhappiest after the wedding aren't the ones who scrimped on the cake or flowers or gown.
They are the ones who scrimped on the photography. When your wedding day has passed, you
can never reconstruct it. Quality photography wraps it all together to recreate the magic
whenever you want it. That's why full coverage quality photography by John Brunke is the
ultimate art form for reliving happy memories.
How do you justify the charge for quality wedding photography?
Part of the cost is paying for the creativity, experience and demonstrated ability of John
Brunke. I have to work within the often restrictive guidelines of your ceremony location
and must capture clear, stable, camera shots in a variety of challenging conditions.
Besides being calm and unobtrusive, I have a creative eye, technique and experience.
Usually the greater percentage of the cost will be for purchasing and maintaining
professional digital equipment and the various associated costs. For example, in most
cases, each of my high quality camera lenses probably cost more than
"Uncle-Let-Me-Do-Its" entire camera kit. Let's put it this way: the total cost
of my professional photographic equipment and tools necessary to memorialize your wedding
could cost as much as your wedding, probably more.
How soon in advance would I need to book?
Good planning suggests that you book John Brunke as soon as you have made your decision to
get married.
